Iris Apfel American interior designer, collector and stylist Background 2mine.online is dedicated to capture the zeitgeist by portraiting the
famous amongst us. Each portrait captures the essence of the
person and how humanity is connected by what the portraits portray.

Our artists are from Africa. They see the world through their own
lenses and capture the universality of beauty that is more than
skin deep – painting and portraying the celebration of the human
spirit where 2 much is never enough. We are sure that Iris Apfel
would agree - even a life ending at 102 is never enough!

Iris Apfel was finally recognized as a great, original fashion stylist in her 80s when the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum in New York had a sudden gap in its 2005 exhibition schedule. Many curators knew Apfel, who died at age 102, as a collector stashing away clothes, especially costume jewelry, both couture-high and street-market-low, so the institute asked to borrow some of her thousands of pieces. When Apfel wore them herself, dozens at a time in ensembles collaged fresh daily, they had zingy pzazz, so she was invited to set up the displays.
